Burning sunshine, Harry Nosworthy’s team lunch and a superb 108 from Will Eden are the three abiding memories of the day. East Woodhay batted first and scored 220 in their 35 overs – far more than they should have done, aided by some friendly middle order bowling – and we fell a few short despite Will Eden’s inspiring century.
